Third at Mission / Yerba Buena Office Tower
San Francisco, California
Yerba Buena Center is an 87-acre project which is dramatically changing the character and image of the entire South of Market area. It is adjacent to San Francisco’s downtown office and retail core and has excellent transit access. San Francisco Redevelopment Agency has called for a design competition for a new office tower on a site adjacent to YBC, on Third at Mission. The participating team consisted of architect (IM Pei & Partners) and developer (Griffin/Related Properties). Program included public galleria with retail at the building’s base. The project won first prize, but was not constructed.
